I love earrings

Ever since I was a child I have loved earrings. I used to sneak into my mom's collection of buttons - the ones in the cookie tin with the picture of a silent movie star - and would tape the buttons to my earlobes. In high school I risked mom's wrath and being grounded for a month so I could get my ears pierced. There were the giant hoop earrings of my hippie days, the ugly plastic and fake metal earrings of the 80's, the perfect tiny gold hoops for my dress for success days. Then one day I realized I could make my own earrings. My first attempts were pretty sad, but I kept on and never looked back. And now I don't feel fully dressed if I'm not wearing earrings.
